DOG WALKING, PET SITTING, AND DOG TRAINING

We all have times in our lives when we might need a little extra help caring for our pets, whether it is due to long hours at work, a new baby, illness or disability, or simply because you are going on holiday.

Some of us may have friends, family or neighbours willing to help out, but to ensure your pets are in the best possible hands when you can’t be there, why not consider a fully insured, professional dog walker or pet sitter?

Training your puppy or dog is vital for being able to control them when at home or out and about. It can also be a fun way to bond and improve your relationship with your dog. As an accredited trainer with the Institute of Modern Dog Training, I use only the most up to date, scientifically sound, reward based training to ensure that learning is safe and enjoyable for all involved.

DOG WALKING

We offer group dog walks, with the aim to make sure that all dogs return home tired and happy. As well as physical exercise we aim to make walks as mentally stimulating for the dogs as possible,  by walking in a variety of locations, with opportunities for basic training, scent games, fetch, Frisbee, trick training, agility style exercises and much more, all based on positive reinforcement and clicker training principles. Water bowls are topped up/refreshed if required after every walk or home visit

obie website

I offer one to one dog training sessions, so if you have a new puppy or rescue dog and are looking for a few tips to get things off to a good start, have a dog whose behaviour is driving you mad, or simply want to get more from your relationship with your dog, please contact me!

I also do occasional group classes or seminars so please keep an eye on my Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/OrmskirkDogWalking for details

THINKING OF GETTING A PUPPY?

DSCN7785

I can offer one to one help and advice on puppy training, and how to deal with common puppy problems, such as mouthing, house training, jumping up to help you and your new puppy get off to a good start.

Puppy home visits (which can involve a short walk, feeding – if required, training, and play) are designed so that you can have peace of mind if you have to leave your puppy home alone during the daypuppy4

PET VISITS, PET TAXI, AND OTHER PET SERVICES

Home visits may be appropriate for older dogs or nervous dogs, instead of a walk, to give them an opportunity to go to the toilet and play games in the garden or indoors or just have a cuddle and some company if they get lonely at home alone.

Home visits are not a replacement for kennels or home boarding as they can not be provided for dogs who will be left alone overnight. However morning and evening pet visits can be provided for most other animals if you are going away on holiday.

LIZARD

I am experienced with a wide range of furry, feathered, and scaly friends, from cats, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets, to chickens, geese and ducks, bearded dragons, geckos, and even Giant  African Land Snails and stick insects!

So if you are going away and need someone to care for your pets, or if you can’t drive and need to get a pet to the vets, please get in touch.
